My Story
Joe:
We loved him and he loved us but one person he loved the most was lucy. No matter what, he would always follow her around the yard, he whinnied when she walked down the yard, she didnt even need to say anything to him, just the sound of her foot steps would make his ears prick up and he would come to his stable door. His name was Joe. A little bay 14.1hh TB cross. We called him our little showjumper, he woul always try his best for Lucy and he would never do anything to hurt her, he always protected her. She couldnt go anywhere without him, he would always follow her if he wasnt tied up. Always by her side.
When we went for a gallop once, me and Lucy, another pony was coming the other way and Joe gelloped off and I dont know how but lucy fell off. I didnt realise until I got to the end, I jumped off and left George, my pony, eating grass. Lucy was led on the floor in pain, she had broken her shoulder, as soon as Joe heard her crying he came over and stood over her and did not move until Lucy was pulled out from underneath him by two farmers who owned the feild. Luckily she was fine and so was everyone else. But Joe knew there was something wrong and protected her.
He was the best pony Lucy ever had and probably ever will have. We all miss him dearly especially lucy. But when it was time for him to go, we knew there was nothing we could do as soon as he was brought in from the feild we all knew that he wasn't right. Its so weird how one day a horse can be fine but the next its time for him to go. That is what upset us the most we knew he had to go sometime because he was getting old. He was around 23 maybe older when he passed away but he had one awesome life! And thats what we have got to remember. So Lucy if you are reading this just remeber him, I know you wont forget him and before you start crying just remember he will smiling down on you! And he cant wait for the day he will see your face again.
horse poem.
I'm Obsessed with Horses.
I have this obsession
I will admit,
It's grown on my over time
Like my thighs and my hips.
This obsession is horses
I love them I do,
They give me great pleasure
When happy or blue.
The smell of horses is everywhere
From the boots on my feet
To the clothes that I wear.
I am so proud to own a horse
That only on occasion
Tries to throw me off coarse.
So horses it is
And horses it will always be,
So sorry dear family and friends,
But my obsession with horses
Will be around for always
Just wait, and you will see.
